August President’s Message

Thursday, August 01, 2019 10:31 PM | Barry Pruitt (Administrator)

Dear Chapter Members,

I am incredibly honored to be serving as your chapter President.  I am humbled to lead an organization that has contributed so much to my own career and personal growth. I joined the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 2013 shortly after making a career change into the private sector.  I have found unmeasurable value in my membership over the years. Though this organization, I have gained vital industry knowledge, expanded my network of peers, and along the way met some treasured friends and mentors.

The Middle Tennessee Chapter is an essential asset to the local fraud fighting mission. Our chapter produces highly rated annual events which are talked about throughout our region and beyond. We would not be able to do so without the help and dedication of our valuable members. We strive to host the best programs and educational events which appeal to and educate our audiences. Throughout the year, we will host luncheons and events that should appeal to a diverse audience including entry-level practitioners to seasoned professionals. At each event, we gain satisfaction when we see continued growth year after year.

On Thursday, August 15th, the new Board of Directors will meet to strategize and plan an amazing membership year for you full of educational, professional development, and networking opportunities. Afterwards, we will kick off our first luncheon with a delicious meal followed by a presentation by Metro Police Detective Deck Thorowgood from the Department’s Fraud Unit.

I am proud to preside over an amazing team of men and women that make up our Chapter.
