MTACFE October Luncheon on October 15,  2015 at 11:30 in the Bennett Hall, Raintree Room, at the Scarritt Bennett Center.    The DEADLINE for reservations is the COB on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.   Members who register before the deadline are charged $10.  First-time guests that register before the deadline are invited to attend for free.  A $15 charge will apply to other nonmembers.  A $20 fee is charged to members who register after the deadline, and for members and guests who do not attend without canceling before the deadline.


Ron Hughes, Intelligence Operations Specialist with the US Department of Homeland Security.  He and Madeline Marcenelle, a Tennessee Fusion Center Analyst, will give a Homeland Threat Brief.  Mr. Ron Hughes, an Intelligence Operations Specialist, joined the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Intelligence and Analysis in October 2009 to become the first DHS Liaison deployed to the Tennessee Fusion Center. He is charged with providing intelligence support to law enforcement, public safety and private sector partners in Tennessee and the Tennessee Governor’s Office of Homeland Security.  Prior to joining DHS, Mr. Hughes worked for the Department of Justice. He served as an Intelligence Specialist at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee. Mr. Hughes was a full-time member of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force in Nashville and a key member of the district’s Anti Terrorism Advisory Council.  Mr. Hughes is retired from the United States Air Force. During his military career he functioned as a Signals Intelligence Analyst supporting military operations in Southwest Asia, the Balkans, the Caribbean, and Korea.  Mr. Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland University College.

Approximate prices are $1.00 per half hour and the parking meters are $1.50 per hour in the Central Business District.
